Located next to Togari Ski Resort, this Soto Buddhist shrine has been standing for six centuries.
The temple is also commonly called "Hydrangea Temple,"named for the 10,000 hydrangea blossoms that spring into life each July, blanketing the temple path and grounds in blue.
Visitors to the temple can also stay at the nearby Kogenso Guest House.
